SOLID GOLD MENUKI

A superbly carved set of gold menuki of the Tanaka school. These menuki are signed by their artist, Tanaka Yoshiyuki. Yoshiyuki worked in the middle 1700's in Edo. He was the son of Nobuyoshi and a student of Goto Zenjo. He worked int he Goto style. They depict a pair of rats sitting on pine branches. The condition is absolutely wonderful. They come in a custom made fitted wooden box.
