GOLD MENUKI BY KIKUOKA MITSUTOMO

This is a very interesting pair of solid gold menuki signed Kikuoka Mitsutomo. Mitsutomo woeked in Edo in the late 1700's. He was the second master of the mainline Kikuoka school. These menuki are solid gold with the obverse decorated with silver, shakudo and copper. The design is that of several children's toys. They are good size measuring 1 1/2 inches in length. Excellent condition.
