This is a very nice tachi koshirae in excellent condition. The cutting edge of the tsunagi is 27 7/16 inches or 69.7 cm. The moto-haba is 1.16 inches or 2.9 cm and the saki-haba is .69 inches or 1.7 cm. The deep koshi-sori is .86 oinches or 2.2 cm. This would be a great koshirae for a koto Bizen blade. The saya is done in a beautiful red and black lacquer that has no chips or losses. The metal fittings are all of copper that has been incesed with dragons and tendrils. The menuki are gold washed copper dragons. The tsuba is a solid copper plate that has two copperoutside plates that are likewise carved with dragons. The hanging ito is a thick doe skin. This would be great as a display piece or to fit to your favorite blade.
