This is a very nice kozuka by the Hamano artist Moriyuki. He worked in Edo around 1800-1825. His art name was Seiundo. This kozuka is made of shibuichi and s typical of Hamano school work. It is very nice work with the Chinese figures well carved and highlighted with gold. It measures 3 7/8 inches or 9.8 cm by 9/16 inches or 1.4 cm. It is in very good condition.
