This tsuba is signed Choshu Ju Kiyomitsu. This artist worked in Choshu (Nagato Pref.), probably in the 1800’s. It is carved in sukashi depicting riding impliments such as a saddle, riding crop and war baton. It measures 2.86 inches or 7.3 cm by 2.71 inches or 6.9 cm. It comes with NTHK papers attesting to the validity of the signature and the quality of the piece.
