This karimata is from the koto period, it is thin and was meant to be used. The nakago shows great age and is six sided at the shoulder area. There is a piercing, and light rust in places, no flaws or openings and is in good shape. The scan of the blade shows darker areas than is really there. The nakago is 8.5” (21.6cm), the blade is 3.5” (8.9cm) long by 2.5” (6.4cm) wide.
